Digital Rosé Wine

Rosé Time, a new app for the Apple Watch, brings you rosé wine when you really don’t feel like fetching it yourself. The app was created for the 2015 Cannes Lions festival in order to showcase what’s possible with smartwatches.
The app was developed in cooperation by mobile tech company Urban Airship and digital agency Intergalactic, and uses beacon technology to connect with visitors at the Cannes Lions Beach VIP area. Those who download the app receive the simple message “Rosé Time?”, and after a “yes” click a glass of rosé wine swiftly arrives to their location.
“We wanted to be able to do more than just show up; we wanted to be able to inspire the global creative community with what’s possible in mobile,” said Urban Airships director of agency programmes Scott Townsend. “Our goal isn’t really to serve thousands of glasses of wine. Our goal is to show people what’s possible in mobile, open their eyes to a cool experience. That’s why we’re delivering it, because we want to see the looks on people’s faces and be able to ask them about the experience.”
